Almost every motorhome, caravan and RV picks up damage eventually. A reversing mishap, a low branch, a stone off a gravel road, a knock from a neighbouring vehicle at a campground — fibreglass is strong, but it's also brittle, and a sharp impact can leave anything from a hairline stress crack to a hole straight through the panel. Left alone, even small damage matters: cracks spread as the body flexes on the road, and any break in the gelcoat lets water into the laminate behind it, where it quietly causes delamination and soft spots.

Our Gelcoat & Fibreglass Repair service covers the full range, from cosmetic chips and spider cracks around door frames and lockers, through to substantial structural repairs where the fibreglass needs to be ground back and re-laminated. We remove the damaged material, rebuild the laminate with matting and resin where strength is required, fill and fair the surface until the contour matches the panel around it, then colour-match the gelcoat or paint finish so the repair blends in rather than standing out.

Every repair is assessed in person at our Mount Wellington workshop in Auckland, because no two are the same — what looks like a small chip can hide moisture damage behind it, and what looks alarming is sometimes a straightforward fix.
